SHANTHI FOUNDATION – FINANCE POSITION

It is 5 years since the inception of Shanthi Foundation with the vision to build the first Palliative Care Hospital in Anuradhapura, Sri Lanka. This has been a significant achievement to say the least and this could never have been achieved without the support of ‘you’ our generous donors!

Highlights:

  • Donations collected over $560,000 over a period of 5 years to fund programs such as Family sponsorships, Installation of 40 + Reverse Osmosis Machines in schools, medical assistance to those families with no assistance and reserving funds to build the Palliative Care Hospital
  • We continue, consistently to keep our administration costs to a minimum of 3%. These costs form the bank fees, insurance costs for the foundation and the annual audit of Shanthi Foundation Accounts
  • Shanthi Foundation Directors, Committee members and other members are all volunteers who donate their precious time for the foundation programs. They are not a cost burden to the foundation.

Funds in Reserve are mainly for the build of the planned Palliative Care Hospital in Anuradhapura Sri Lanka. With continued support from our loyal donors and corporate sponsors we believe the hospital will become operational in the near future.
